000This lesson was a collaborative effort between Mrs. Rivett and myself. She wanted to give her students the opportunity to virtually tour Pere LaChaise cemetery and research one of the individuals buried there. They then were asked to work in groups to create a map of the cemetery which included at least 10 other grave markers.
000 The following Prezi was used throughout the Pere LaChaise lesson. When the students entered the room the bell work slide wias displayed so the students could begin work as soon as they entered. Mrs. Rivett and I took turns presenting the different aspects of the lesson.
000 The students were given the following list of people from which they were allowed to choose their research topic. 000 This graphic orgainizer was used to demonstrate the paths used to obtain research information. The path was presented during the Prezi presentation and the students were asked to record the steps on the following chart.
000 The students also had the opportunity to use websites to research their person. The Find a Grave website was particularly helpful but could be confusing to navigate. The following handout was given to the students to help them use the website effectively.
